Arts Night In San Antonio

Saturday night was the first Luminaria - Arts Night In San Antonio. It was a surprisingly large arts festival.  Many downtown streets were closed down and there were performances ranging from poetry to chamber music.  There were sculpture and painting exhibits at several downtown galleries.  The symphony preformed in front of the Alamo.
When Mark first said he wanted to go, I was hesitant, but Im glad we went.  We called our friend Jaime who lives downtown and he met us there.  We all had a great time.  I hope they make this an annual event.

Back at Jaime's apartment, he is cleaning up after breaking his Hookah.

Mark on the elevator ride down from Jaime's.  Don't ask me why he looks so sad.

Funny Dogs

We have the weirdest dogs.  For one, Jake likes to carry around this stuffed squirrel, but it's so big he can hardly breathe when it's in his mouth..  And Daisy sleeps in these crazy positions.   As long as they're happy........

Here's Jake with his squirrel.

And here's miss Daisy, just waking up.

Vacation Plans

Mark and I are taking an Alaska cruise this summer.  We depart from Seattle and we'll be out for 7 nights.  We plan to spend the night before and after in Seattle so we can see some of the sights.

We are also taking a long weekend trip to Hope Arkansas to visit Mark's dad.  We're making that trip in late April.  I've never met him before and it's been 8 years since Mark's seen him, so it should be quite a trip.

On another note, my old HP laptop starting giving me trouble so I replaced it with a MacBook.  Do any of our readers have a mac, and if so, are there any cool apps you could recommend that I download.

Have a good one!!!

The Year Of The Rat

Today we went to the Asian Festival downtown. The weather was excellent. Here are some pictures.

This was the cutest little girl, all dressed up in her little costume.

Mark waiting in line for a "Bubble Drink". We weren't really sure what we were ordering, but what we got wasn't too exciting. It was basically a slushy with these blueberry sized tapioca balls at the bottom. It was really weird. The straw was really fat so that the balls could fit through. I have no idea who would think of this strange drink and it wasn't even that good.

I think she was making some shrimp

These guys work at Aloha Florist and Luau catering. It's a flower shop right by our house that puts on a Luau every Friday night. We can hear the drums from our back yard.

The Cutest Dogs In The World

Hi Everyone. I'm sorry I haven't posted in a while. There hasn't been much excitement around here to talk about.

Mark and I are doing well and the dogs are surviving the cold snap. Here are a few pictures to prove that we have the cutest dogs in the world.

Look how cute Jake is when he burrows under the cushion in his bed. Awww

Here's Giuseppe and Jake getting cuddly. They do that alot. Daisy don't like to cuddle as much, but she sure likes to play.

Here's Giuseppe and Jake again.

The End.

New Years Day

Mark and I had a very sedate new years eve. We watched some TV, drank some gingerale and went to bed just after midnight. Wooo Hoooo.

New Years Day we went to my folks house in New Braunfels. My little brother Darren is still in town with his family so we wanted to spend some more time with them. We ate Rudy's BBQ and then his two oldest boys, Ian and Alex, put on a New Years Play. This musical extravaganza was written and directed solely by Ian. He was also the star.

I've included a few pictures and video of this staggering work of genius by the prodigy.
