Retirement

The time finally came to retire from the beauty industry. I gave my notice at the salon and I had my last day on Wednesday. Now I'm focusing all my time and attention on Real Estate. The market in SA is still really strong and it was getting increasingly frustrating to be at the salon AND take calls on my cell phone from RE clients or calls on my For Sale signs. Luckily, Petra was very understanding (especially since I have HER house listed for sale) and she wants me to be successful.

This is my new work portrait. I don't know HOW I manage to get better looking every year. Perhaps it's all the air brushing my photographer does on my pics.

We will be at the lake for the 4th, and we look forward to seeing you all there.

New Office!

The brokerage I work for bought out a smaller "boutique brokerage" in Alamo Heights. This new office just happens to be about a mile from my house, so I've moved my operations to that location. This is the best possible location for me. I can still come home for lunch, so I save money. My personal office isn't that impressive. It's more of a large cubicle, but I like it. The agents at the new office are all really nice. I'm helping them get used to the systems that Keller Williams uses for managing the paperwork and stuff.

The dogs are good.

Mark is good.

The End.

It's good to have a hobby.

Back in the old days (high school), mom and dad bought me a nice 35mm camera, which subsequently was stolen when I was about 22 or so. I've always loved photography. You can probably tell because I'm always the one with the camera at family events.

I figure it's a good idea to have a hobby, other than watching Judge Judy. Camera's have changed alot since my last nice one. Now they're all digital. I remember when I had to develop my own film and print the pictures in a dark room. Now it's all on computer. Anyways, I'm giving myself little projects. Right now I'm doing flowers (mainly because they're easy and they don't move around alot). Of course, I always take pictures of the dogs. If Mark and I were to disappear today, the person who sorted through our stuff would think we have some strange obsession with dogs.

Hi guys. I know it's been a while since my past post.

New Car: The Montero was having some transmission problems so we traded it in and got a Toyota Matrix. I know I only had the Montero for about a year and a half, but we paid barely anything for it so it wasn't very traumatic to trade it in so soon. Well, it wasn't traumatic for me but any time we spend more than $100, it's traumatic for Mark.

Real Estate: The market in SA is heating up along with the weather. I have 9 listings now and I have two under contract. Yay!

The doggies are all doing ok. Jake is still the cutest Pug ever born and Daisy is still a pushy broad. Guiseppe is getting up there in age. The Vet estimates he's about 15 or 16. His hearing is pretty much gone and his vision is getting worse, but he still seems happy. He plays with his toys sometimes and he's not grouchy.

We have a temple Brotherhood meeting to attend this morning so I need to get going.

I'll post again soon, I promise.

California

Mark and I had a wonderful trip to California with my family. We went because our nephew Harrison was having his Bar Mitzvah. We stayed in Irvine, south of LA, and all the activities were really close by so it was really convenient with little driving in LA traffic.

We stayed a few extra days and went down to San Diego to visit the Wild Animal Park. We took our nephews and niece. As far as I can remember, it was the first time we've taken them out on our own. It's nice that they are finally at an age where we can do stuff together.

All the pictures from the San Diego Wild Animal Park are available on our Photo Gallery. I haven't yet sorted through all other pictures of the weekend, but I will try to get around to that ASAP. When you visit the Photo Gallery, If you see one that you want to keep you can easily download any picture. I'm also going to make a Sharing folder, so if you have some photos you think everyone else would like to see, you can upload them and share them with everyone else.

You can find a link to the Photo Gallery on the right hand side of this page.

That's all for now. Have a great weekend.
