After meeting with mom and dad today, we are going to put off selling the house for a little while. We found out today that if we don't own the house for 2 years or more we will have to pay capital gains tax on the profit from the house, which according to mom could be alot. We've only owned this house for 18 months and she said we could make alot off it since the property values here are going crazy. SO, we can't actually sell the house until September. We will probably put it on the market sometime in June and see what happens.
Actually, that gives us some more time to make some minor improvements to make sure the house gives a great first impression.
I'll try to put a more in depth update tomorrow.

Makes sense! In the meantime, you can look around and see if there are other houses that work for you. Who knows... you might end up decided to stay and do the remodeling after all!
